Default P0301 on 2002 Protege5

Hello, while driving on the highway, I experienced a sudden loss of power in my 02 P5. The check engine light started blinking. I got the car to the closest exit and left it sit there for the rest of the day. Later, I returned and read the CEL codes and got the P0300 code (random cylinder misfire code). I cleared the code and started my car. Within 30 seconds, the CEL light was flashing again. This time it was the P0301 code (C#1 misfire).
I changed the 1/4 coil pack, both spark wires, and put 4 new plugs in gapped to .044". I restarted the car and the same problem happened again.
Anyone have any ideas? I am going to return tonight and try to swap c1 injector and c2 injector and see if the problem moves to c2. if not, i guess the next step would be to complete a compression test to see if there is any compression issues in c1.
Any ideas or hints would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

flashing check engine light is a mechanical failure did you change all the coil packs or just the one? easiest way to see if your injector is not working is to leave the spark plug out have someone look at the motor crank the car if gas comes out its working but im sure its not the injector because the injectors have sensors on them so a cylinder #1 misfire would be ithier the coil pack (if all of them were not changed) or a faulty wire or spark plug. to test the wire put an olm meter on the spark plug wire twist the wire your reading should not change if it does then change the wire i know you have already changed it but you never know. double check your spark plugs to make sure you are indeed getting a spark if the gap is not perfect it might not be sparking. While the motor is running is the car shaking like one cylinder is not firing?

I have 0 compression in cylinder 1. So i assume its going to cost more to repair than i am willing to spend. Dropped/bent valve, valve guide, valve seal, damaged piston, bad rings, head gasket or cracked block.... seems like it's time for a used engine or part out.... I am thinking part out... Any interest in any silver 02 P5 parts w manual transmission and blown engine?
