my sons protege has no spark. tested coil, coil is good, replaced ign module, all fuses in the car are good. still no spark.I have a book it does not get to in depth. Any suggestions on my next checks?

 

the car is1993 1.8 standard.

 

Have you checked for power at the coil on the blue wire? If the car has a tachometer, does it jump when cranking?

 

so wait. im not to sure whats going on, the car has no power or it doesnt turn? You didnt mention the battery, hows that?

 

yes the blue wire is powered. not sure if the tach pulses, will check. the car turns over but does not start. also noticed there is no ck engine light. pulled the bulb out and it works. next i will borrow a scan tool to see if there is communication to the ecm.
