Default no spark?

I have been asked to look at a 94-95 mazda 323 1.5 16v. it has no spark. fuel is getting in and i have checked the immobiliser and this is fine, the engine turns over fine. i am getting power to the coil but no spark. i thinking either the coil or the cam sensor have packed in.

The was being driven when it just died and refused to start.

Any help or advice would be a great help.

Thanks Craig.

94-95 of that motor should be cap and rotor. i would start there. if i am mistaken and it is coil, start with the coils. one way or another, that seems to be the kink in the hose.

Sounds like what happened to my '94 protege last year. I ended up getting a distributor position sensor(inside the dsistributor..it senses the position of the rotor I think) from the junkyard and cleaning all of the inner contacts on the rotor cap and the contact on the rotor istself...took care of the problem for about $20.
