mazda protege 2003 help:heavy idle issue

the car idles very heavily when shift is in drive position.
with foot on the brake,transmission in drive i hear a sort of rattle with the idle.
anyone can assist??

u have n idle problem.it might need a tune up or even as simple as an air filter

your motor is under a heavy load, how old is the car? it might be time for a tranny flush, cause transmitions have filters in them it might be time to have it changed
