Mazda P5 P1250 - Pressure Regulator Control Solenoid Circuit
Maybe I'm not searching right but I can't find any straight answers on this thing(P1250) . I keep throwing the code after resetting so I know I need to replace it. Is it the same as the EGR? I am confused. But I am constantly throwing the code for this and for the rear O2 sensor (P0037). So if any one can elaborate on these two codes it would be greatly appreciated. So I need to know where it is and what it is. Any insight would be greatly appreciated |
fbs:
I am thinking this relates to the fuel pressure regulator. It is definitely not the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation). 1250 seems to indicate that there is a problem with the electrical circuit for the fuel pressure regulator. it could be internal or external. External: check all the connectors and wiring to and from the pressure regulator. If the external circuit is fine than it is an internal circuit problem and you would have to replace that thing. P0037: This page explains it better than I could: P0037 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Good luck to you |
Thanks!!
That gave me some insight and I will try to get these parts and hopefully this will allow the light to go off and allow the car to run as it should.

Testing beats replacing! Throwing parts at the problem is akin to throwing money into the trash. Remove, clean, inspect, test, reuse! And in most cases you can bench test a part. Sometimes you put the part back in and try. If you don't know the procedures get a Haynes manual and look at Youtubes on "how to fix a problem". Even if it is not the same make and model it will give you an idea how it is done. |
