Where is the fuel filter on a 1992 Mazda Protege?

 

From what i have heard, the fuel filter is in generally the same place as my '98's, which is right against the firewall, almost directly behind the throttle body.

Mine was a pain to get to, but its doable. I had to remove the air cleaner, duct, and even the battery and battery tray, just to give me some more elbow room.
