dtc po170

Default dtc po170

I have a 96 protege with a1.5 auto that is setting a po170 the o2 sensor on bank 1 sensor 1 has no movement when looking at it on the scanner . I think it's the sensor not realy sure I'am a chev tech and mazda's are not my bag. any help is great.

It should switch at about 2700 rpm. 5-7 seconds between switching rich/lean. If it does nothing then replace it. If it takes 10 seconds or longer to switch replace it. If it passes look at the tune. MAF etc.
