Default Driver side cv axle need replacing?

Hi i jacked my car up both front wheels off the ground, so i turned the car on put it in drive and the driver side cv axel was very slow compared to the passenger side. When i press the gas both cv axel were running at the same speed but when it idles the driver side cv axle spins the wheel slower then the passenger side one.

Is this normal?

but about 10 mins later i pressed the gas let the car idle and now both cv axle are running at the same speed.

Also my outer cv boot is slightly ripped on the driver side and i sometimes not all the time i hear a rubbing metallic noise similar to a noise when the brake pads need replacing when make a tight right turn.

Is my driver side CV axle bad?
