Default complicated tech question......

so my car wont start. i have a 91' dx and it just died. driving down the street, the ignition quit and wouldn't turn back over. tried popping the clutch from a roll and it still wouldnt fire.

checked for ignition, no fire at the plugs, wires, cap, or coil. i ohmed out the coil and it reads between .9 and 1.1. according to alldatapro, it should be within .81-.99. I went to a junk yard to pick up a coil and after that, still no spark from the coil. tried a different AFM, and still nothing. at this point, i'm stuck. i also tried a new power unit (the one underneath the coil) and again, nothing. can someone tell me where the ignitior is or what may be the problem??? if the coil is ohming within relative specs, should i assume that its good? please help, it's my DD

To answer your question.... DON'T DRIVE IT!!!
Yes, it's an interference motor. You'll have bigger problems if you blow the belt.

i have always been told that these are not interference motors. in fact, i have been told that the only interference motors that are in 4 cylinder are hondas and anything that has some form of variable valve timing, e.g. v-tec, vvt-i, vvlt-i, and so on.

Whoops!! Got my terminology backward. You guys are right. The pistons will contact the valves if the belt goes away. Most are non-interference engines.
Why I said (strongly suggested) not to drive it.
