Advice on Crash Damage 2001LX -Mounts

First question: The right side motor mount was pushed back. The rubber mount took most of the damage. The transmission will not go past neutral. Related?

automatic or manual?

I believe the automatic shifter is connected with a cable. That should be flexible enough to allow shifts.
The manual transmission is connected with shift rods. If the transmission gets knocked out of its position it could affect shifting because the shifter is bolted to the body.

Thanks Tanprotege!

The transmission will now go from park to neutral but not drive while not running. Just by chance, is this normal for this car when not running?

Could this be two problems and I need to remove the console to deal with the shifter. I thought the motor mount broken was not knocking the shifter out but that may not be the case?

If the front pass side mount get damaged is it likely that a drivers's side mount will go also? Can all four mounts be seen without disassembling any other parts?

The front mount prices have a wide range, about $50 to $175, so is there a huge difference in quality?

Thanks in advance,
Larry
