Hello unemployed mom here. My son has a 98 mazda protege. Brake pedal went to floor. Added fluid only to find it squirting on ground by back driver tire.

A layperson said they thought the lines were leaking above the gas tank.

Any experts out there. Do the brakes lines really loop over the gas tank so you would have to drop the tank to change them?

I tried to look at a diagram with no luck
