I have a 2002 Protege5 with 130k miles and AT that started doing something odd this morning. When in park (with car started), there is a loud and continuous clicking coming from the gear shift area. It goes away when I depress the brake pedal and when in all other gear shift positions. Any idea what this is and what to do about it?
