Default 2000 Mazda Protégé ES 1.8l w/P0452

I have a 2000 Mazda Protégé ES 1.8l, automatic trans. It currently has a code of P0452 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage.

I tried a new fuel cap but that didn’t help.

Where should I start checking things?

Thanks,
Walt

Anyone know where the "Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor" is?

the "fuel tank pressure sensor" is between the gas tank and the bumper.
There is a plate under the spare tire well that holds the emission stuff.
I believe that is where it is located. I took mine off last year looking for a fuel leak.
Go to Standard Motor Company's ecatalog to look at a picture of it.

Standard - eCatalog

On mine it is a Standard AS143

I hate when people ask for help on forums and then never post back with what actually fixed the problem. I must beg forgiveness but I will not be able to post my fix. I blew her up last week and she isn’t worth fixing.
