Default 1999 Mazda Protege Fuel Econnomy

Can anyone explain why im all of the sudden loosing fuel economy? I was pulling 40MPG on this car! now im down to 30 some odd miles. I had the A/C compressor disconnected, and the power steering disconnected and it was pulling that. But two weeks ago i had my brakes done up, and i went ahead and put the power steering back on line, didn't notice any effects for a week... and now all of the sudden Ive lost my MPG... Can the Power steering pump really take that much away? (if so im throwing it away) id hate to see what it would be if i put the A/C compressor back online 0.0. for the week i didn't notice it though, i was at pretty high speeds... ex. 85 in a 65... 110 on a 70 (highway)... would that hurt the fuel economy after that tank was depleted, after effects?

na there right the protege does do that mine was doing about 33 city and 37 highway but if it snows where you live the reason why your gas droped off is because they add i think gas line antifreeze into the gas which is causing it to burn faster they always do it in the winter there really isn't anything you can do about it but wait till they switch back to summer fuel.

My car is a manual trans (33cty, 37hwy). In winter it gets closer to 30mpg city.
