0w-30 oil, suitable for a protege?

I've seen these new 0w-30 oils that have coming out recently. It says that it is compairable to 10w and 5w oils, but I'm not too sure if I'm will to risk it. I use synthetic already but is it worth it?

RE: 0w-30 oil, suitable for a protege?

it depends on your climate most of all. if the worst that you get is just a little hot in the summer, then it would be fine. it would lubricate more constantly since it will be able to make clearances that other weights wouldn't. in my climate, during the summer i can break a sweat just going out to the car at 5 in the morning. i need a heavier weight oil for better protection.
