that is the vacuum line that goes to the waste gate actuator. it needs to go to a nipple on the front of the cold side turbo housing.

that is probably what the problem is. replace that line and look into putting a one way check valve in to keep only positive pressure on the waste gate actuator. vacuum pressure is bad for the actuator.

Thanks for the info Is there a picture that you can show me where it should go

i am actually mistaken here. on the mazdaspeed protege, the vacuum for the WGA goes to the intake manifold. the wastegate actuator (WGA) is the thing to the left, inside of the yellow circle on your pic.

i have been looking for a pic of this and i can't really find anything for you. if memory serves correctly, the line should plug into a nipple on the top of the intake manifold. just look for a loose line up there and see what you can find.

I looked all around my intake manifold can't seem to find where the vacuum line hook up

i just had a feeling. i am in houston tx. this is the only time that i ever plug other forums here. www.dfwmazdas.com will be a good place for you to sign up. if you bought your car second hand, you may have bought it from someone off of there.

that is a good group of guys and they always get together to work on each other's cars. let me know what those guys say and if they help you out at all.

Just tee the line to the bov back to the Intake manifold
