Transmission options for the Perkins 2.2 Diesel

The Mazda 5 speed for the Perkins 2.2 does exist! I have one. I don't know much about it yet. I was hoping to find a 4x4 output shaft but I am still researching. So far therangerstation.com is the only source of info I have found. I will keep you posted.

Well you're in luck because my dad ownes one of the mazda diesels in question and I've swapped several mazda transmissions into the 2nd gen pickup trucks. I am running a jap import Miata tranny in my 87 B2200 right now.... for some reason it won't let me post the rest of what I had to say....???
I ask because I have one and I lost 5th and reverse. Found a Broken Shaft. Pulled apart a 86 Mazda 5 speed and they are not the same inside the Shafts are not interchangable.
So What year Miata did you get it from I'm in need of a Transmission?
