94 b3000 has very little power at low rpms, it takes about 50 feet before the truck starts to gain power, then its fine until i shift to the next gear then no power for another 50 feet, the rpms dont come up even with the truck floored until the truck starts moving a little faster. once the power kicks in she climbs hills easily. new fuel pump, filter, maf sensor, someone told me its compression? if its compression wouldnt i have no power all the time? cat is clear no blocks, thanks guys...

Is that the Ford Vulcan engine?
Does it misfire? How old are the spark plugs, coil pack and wires?
Are there any vacuum leaks?
Is the throttle position sensor working alright?

You say new cap. That means you have a distributor?
You have new rotor also?
How about replacing the coil?

If you have timing advance weights in the distributor, check to see if they are sticking and if their springs and posts are in good shape.
