Question mazda B2500 2002 4x4 d/cab pickup (FWH) problem

When I turn on the ignition the free wheeling hub light comes on, will go off when I press the switch but back on after I restart why! never did this before it went in for a exhaust - valve on top of the engine. Just got the truck so dont know there problems as yet, have you come across this before. not sure if the free wheeling hub/front diff is going in & out! I can see it is a vacume unit. I am a m/c of old. Time served.

Yip` thanks bud, will try that tonight, not had any one arround this last day or so to try that, will let you know the outcome hopefully tonight. regards
Rob.

Ok had a look, its out all the time, little movment when turned off, if I give it a pull it will then put the light out, but movment is slight, took the pipe off the switch under the bonnet that sucks when started, stops sucking when the switch is turned off, the switch at the side of it, as been damage at some piont, so I can`t take the pipe off that one,. Why do you think the light stays on when stared, is this becourse you think the unit is engaged all the time?. 18.45hrs

i don't know why the vacuum pod stays in the locked position mine does the same thing except on my truck the rfw switch doesn't work, if i pull the hose off i can unlock my front diff but as soon as i put it back on it locke's, hitting the switch does nothing. when you hit your switch does it unlock?
