I can't pass smog test with Weber!!
hello guys, I installed a Weber 32/36 back in Jan, well, today I went and had my truck tested for emissions, and it didn't pass. My HC and CO were high. Monday its going to the mechanic. What can I do to make it pass without taking it to the shop?? I also had a new cat put on saturday just in case, and it still didn't pass at all. I own a 87 Mazda b2000, great work truck!!
HC was 353 should be below 220 CO was 4.15 should be below 1.2. thx guys

The Weber has replaceable jets. It needs to be tuned to your specific vehicle.
If you're HC & CO are bad, its rich at idle, if not all the time.
Increasing the air correctors, or downsizing the idle fuel jets is the way to go. One, or both may be needed to correct the over-rich situation. You might also look at the float bowl level to make sure it's not high.
You should not need to do an EGR delete to get it to pass inspection.
