How much did you pay for your Weber
Trying to geta Weber 32/36for my 86 B for a while but money is short. I'm wondering what others are paying for their Weber's. I of course found the Weber Carbs Direct which has the entire kit, which I am looking for, for $289 plus shipping. But I'm wonderinghow others have got theirWeber's. Also,if you got the kit from Weber Carbs Direct, how did you like it?Did it have everything youneeded? Appreciate it.

RE: How much did you pay for your Weber
I bought and installed both the 32/36 and the the 38 on my 92 B2200. They both provide better driveability and performance than the stock carb. The 32/36 gives better gas mileage. The 38 gives better power, especially down low. I know, that doesn't make sense, but, as Redline says on their website, that is how it works. I have the 38 installed now and I love the throttle response and low ender power. Mine is a work truck and I pull a 16' dual axel utility trailer, so the extra bottom end is greatly appreciated. One word of caution - emissions! The 32/36 has all the plumbing required to hook almost all the emissions stuff back up, the 38 doesn't. The 38 comes with one vacuum port for the distributor, and a pcv port. That's it. There's no port for the canister and no port for the egr system. I don't know what's going to happen when I take it in for inspection next Spring. I had most of the emissions stuff hooked up with 32/36 and it ran fine.
I got my 32/36 for 279.99 with free shipping from The Import Experts, 405 East Arlington, Yakima, Washington 98901, ph 800-572-3681. The 38 is 339.99.

RE: How much did you pay for your Weber
If it"s a 38 DGEVyou want, I have one that"s like newin the original box, it"s just been sitting around my shop for a while. It was used briefly on a BMW 2002, but only for about a week... maybe less if memory serves.
New gasket set and an adapter to convert your stock filter housing to it. (No re-oiling and easy OE paper element.)Some cutting and re-drilling required, I"m sure.

I appreciate the offer virgin, but like mikey said above, I'm looking for gas mileage and so the 32/36. But I thought from readinghere and mazdatrukinthat the 32/36 also did away with many of the vacuum lines and input from egr and the ecu like mikey described above for the 38?

They use the same DGV body, so it is possible to add ports to it.
Here are a few links on both:

RE: How much did you pay for your Weber
I should have mentioned that you can eliminate all of the emissions stuff if you want to with the 32/36. The EGR port on the carb comes with a plug screwed into it. The cannister port can be capped as well. If you do eliminate all the emmissions plumbing you should run to the air cleaner the fuel tank vent hose that comes from the tank and goes to the canister. I drilled a hole in the underside of the air cleaner base and used JB Weld to glue a vacuum line fitting in place.
The problem with removing all the emmissions stuff is that you will no longer be legal and may not pass inspection. I saved all of my emmissions stuff so I can hook it all back up if I need to.
