Default Engine problems!!!!

Hey

I have a 99 b2500 manual, and sometimes when i want to stop or slow downata light oranywhere i put it in neutral, coast, and use my braketocome toa stop. This is where my problem is!!! As i start to slow down my RPM gage starts shooting to 4000 rpms and my engine starts screaming! This continues until i come to a complete stop!! It freaked me out the first time but now its getting annoying! Anyone have a clue as to whats going on????

Are you pushing the brake with your left foot with your right foot still over the gas? With the car out of gear, if you barely even touched the gas pedal with that right foot it would make it rev up.

Try braking with your right foot. (if you aren't already.)

Dont use wd-40 as lube... it collects dirt and dust... use motor oil... It works the best. I actually used gear oil that comes in a bottle that you can squirt out the little nipple thing...
