Default Engine Error Codes?

I have a new ECU (AvPro Rebuild) and also jsut popped in a new o2 sensor, and I am still getting error code 17 (1 long, then 7 quick blinks). Does anybody know what this error code means? I am getting 14-15 mpg so I am guessing the 2 are related.... Maybe my mass air flow sensor is going bad?

This is in a 1991 B2600i 4x4, 5 speed...

I think you are getting a code 17. This link should explain the codes. You might want to double check the polarity of the wires if you used a universal type o2 sensor. Good luck.

I got a o2 sensor that already has the OE connector installed on it so theres no way the wires polarity could be swapped... Any other ideas?

[*]
Disconnect the HO2S. ([*]
Measure the resistance between PWR and GND terminals of the sensor. If the reading is approximately 6 ohms at 68°F (20°C). the sensor's heater element is in good condition. [*]
With the HO2S connected and engine running, measure the voltage with a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) between terminals HO2S and SIG RTN (GND) of the oxygen sensor connector. If the voltage readings are swinging rapidly between 0.01-1.1 volts, the sensor is probably okay. [/ol]
