Default clutch slave?

I am in the process of putting two b2660i's together and my mechanic is looking for a spring on the clutch slave cyclinder. My question is, whether there is one?
there seems to be nowhere to attach it on the slave or on the clutch(fork/?) itself.

If there is no spring, I'm wondering what returns the clutch fork?
Thanks,
Sorry for my cluelessness, its a project with some students at a Vo-tec.[/align]

No spring. The pressure plate pushs it back. There is a spring on the pedal itself however.
