Default carb or injected?

i'm new to mazdas and recently bought a 93 2600i with a blown head gasket that i was planning on rebuilding. I also bought a 88 b2600 as a solid donor but as I was reading these forums i noticed most of the problems people have are with the injected motors and was wondering which route i should go? carb or injected? If I go the carb. route i was also wondering if the weber conversion would elimate most of the vaccum lines. My carb truck has most of those lines unplugged and bolts stuffed in the ends making it run rough and i don't want to get into all that. Thanks

stick with the injected engine, the 87-88 carbureted model was a nightmare.
had the head checked for warpage while replacing the head gasket. the FI model ran much cleaner and stronger than
the carb model. if its a cab plus 5spd manual trans let me know if you want to sell it!!

i think i'm just going to go threw the whole thing. I just pulled it out of the truck. i was just wondering if theres anything mazdas are know for and what i should replace while its out. (ex. hondas timing belts go about every 100,000mi.) That whole timing cover on the mazda threw me off with the built in oil pump and the balance chain i've never seen that. I don't know if i should replace the chains and sliders while i'm in there or not.
