carb 2.6 to carb V8 conversion, fuel pump
What did you guys who's done the V8 swap do for a fuel pump? My B2600 hasan in-tank pump for the carb right now. I know most external electric fuel pumps are gravity fed since they push better than they pull. Are the mechanical fuel pump on the engine the best way to go w/o getting extravagant? I'm guessing the stocker could feed the mechanical pump. However, I'm going to be running a hot Olds 455 (about 500hp at the flywheel).

i didnt think that carbureted had an intank fuel pump. anyways i am just using an inline electric pump but you could use a stock pump on the block if you have clearance. but i dont know if the stock intank pump will work for you it might starve the engine. you might have to bypass it or get a fuel cell. well later

I've been trying to keep some unnecessary costs down, but I might not be able to avoid this one. I was actually looking into running a 70-ish gallon diesel truck saddle tank. Tap the bottom for gravity feed fuel line and run an inline pump. That's the "fancy" setup... I was hoping to just get it running for cheaper.
