Default Bucking B2300(egr)

I have an 02 mazda b2300 and recently it started jerking very bad while accelerating and seems to lose all power when this happens. it usually goes on for a few minutes and then runs fine again for a few minutes and start the process over.

truck starts fine and idle fine. after searching everywhere ive found possible problems

1. EGR
2. coolant temp sens
3. vacuum leak

the egr sounded promising but i could use some feedback from someone who know much more than I

Start with the basics:
check or replace plugs and wires, they have 8! Get Motorcraft or NGK plugs, don't experiment!
clean the throttle body and Idle Air Control Valve.
Clean the MAF sensor.
Look for vacuum leaks.

Report back.
