Default Bolt Broke? Help

I was taking my distrubutor out, and the bold broke off even with my head. I dont have a clue how to get of out. The truck is a 1989 Mazda B2600i 2.6 Liter Engine. Is there anyway i can drill it out, and twist it out, i am trying not to screw up the head... Thanks For ANY SUGGESTIONS!~

Go to your local auto parts store and ask for a tool called an "Easy Out", better known as a bolt extractor.

There are a few kinds. Some look like a drill bit that has reverse threads. It is tapered, so as it is being spun (left loosey, righty tighty) it will dig in to the bolt and then spin it out.

Not to be confised with a reverse drill bit, which will be needed anyway to start the hole for the easy out. The reason the drill bit has a reversed thread is that when you drill the bolt you don't spin it deeper into the hole. (yes, you literally put the drill in reverse to drill the hole INto the bolt)

Some easy outs are square and tapered without threads, this type has a sharpened edge the digs into the bolt as you turn it. Again you may need the reverse drill bit, though some Easy Outs you can pound with a hammer to start it.

Or you can weld a slightly smaller bolt to the part that is still stuck in your head. The heat from the weld should tend to loosen what's left so that it breaks free.

Give that a try if the easy-out doesn't work. (I've broken a few of those before...)
