This is a minor (but irritating) issue. I have a 1996 5-speed B3000. The shifter **** is continually loose and I can take it right off the shifter. I've actually lost it 2x (in 11 years) and replaced it. Replacement ***** appear to be "crimped" on and quickly become loose again. Has anyone had this same problem and resolved it (i.e. more permanently)?? Is there a special way to reattach the ****, or should I just get out my pliers and crank the h*ll out of it?? Thanks.
