Default b2500 question, newbie needs help please

firstly hello, secondly thanks for taking the time to read this and possibly help me with this conundrum,
ive just been tasked with the job of replacing the engine on a 2001 b2500 td, with a non turbo engine, so what im looking for is any major problems which will arise, i understand that the inlet and exhuast manifolds will be different, and i believe that the injection pump is coded? into the imob, so does the td have the same injection pump as the non td? could i get away with swapping pumps over? or if i fit the non td pump, will it be able to be recoded? i have not received the new second hand engine yet, ive also tried to explain to the customer that it would be a lot cheaper labour wise to just get a decent second hand td lump, i think he's just trying his luck lol,
and again thanks for your help
