Default b2200 1988 gives a lot of smoke at exhaust.

This just started a few days ago. My trucks exhaust is giving out a lot of smoke. Its has a terrible gasoline smell. It seems like it using more gas than before. Normally this used to happen when I start my truck engine. but now it happens all the times. Yesterday, at cold foggy night I drove for 30 minutes and the exhaust was terrible. any one knows what might be happening.
any help is appreciated.

Its more of a whitish color. funny thing I noticed today when I drove around 9am that it wasnt that smoky at all. It seemed normall. There other nights or early morning when I have noticed a lot of smoke is when it was cold outside and foggy. But today I didnt notice much smoke. do you think the cold weather has something to do with it.

I really do think so, Mine is terrible when it's cold. I just got the truck but from reading on here and my chiltons, I think the truck has some sort of valve on the carb that makes it idle higher during cold weather, I guess to warm it up faster. That prolly has alot to do with it. Anyway I think mine is the valve seals, I tried to look up how to replace them in my chiltons and it said "Take it to a pro" - Real helpfu. I'll let you know if I make any progress.
