Default 91 b2200 gas tank question

I have a question on my gas tank. I bought this truck a while back and I am working on it to get the bugs out. Anyway it sometimes bogs down going up hill. So today I pulled the gas filter off and found out it was clogged up but not completely. Also the gas from tank side is red from rust in the tank I believe. The side from the filter to the carb was clean so the good thing is the filter was doing its job. This truck came out with a automatic but the engine has been replaced with one that I think has a fuel pump on the engine. If I am correct the automatic ones had electric fuel pump and manual had the pump on the engine. So I don't know if they left the stock built in gas pump on the truck or replaced it with the manual type tank. My question is this, is there a way to find out by looking at the tank still bolted on to see what kind it is? I would like to see what kind it is and go ahead and buy one. Is there a way to tell by the hoses or wires? Thanks in advance.
