87 B2000 Emissions Help ... High COs
 

Hey Guys ...





I'm working on getting my Truck on the road. I picked up this barnfind (literally), 45k mile truck from the OG owner.


When I took for a smog test....it was flagged as a gross polluter.


So far I have read the O2 sensor voltage (new) , and it reads .98 volts at idle, and also at cruise. This was probing the wire near the manifold.


Upon checking at green connecter under front of manifold...nothing !!


Replaced the wire leading from 02 to main harness (solder,heat shrink etc)


The next test I performed was to ground the Mixture Control Solenoid.


To my Dismay...


The engine leaned out, and also went into stall...So I know that is working.


Sooooo....


What would be my next check ?


Could I have a bad ECM ? :confused:


UGHHHHH !!! :eek:

I forgot to add...


NEW CAT, , Muffler and tailpipe holes welded up.


Full tune up, timing belt, hoses, belts, etc.
