Hi, I'm new to this group and was wondering if anyone knows if the 2.2 will bolt up to my 5 spd that currently has a 2.0 in it?
It is an 86' B2000 with 203,000 miles on it and runs excellent but the drivers side of the engine is just caked and soaked with oil. I bought the truck last week for $500. It has an aluminum stake body bed on it from Scott-Lite which I'm told was purchased new on this truck in 86' for around $800. This is a one owner truck but was used by a friend of mine for a company truck, you know how that is.
I'm not sure if maybe just the valve cover gasket needs replaced or if the timing cover gasket needs replaced or both. The oil looks as though its leaking from the front of the engine and the fan is blowing it back. Anyone else have this problem or know what it might be rather than putting another engine in it?
