Default 1996 B3000 fuel tank needed

Are there any vendors out there that sell the 20-21 gallon fuel tank for this truck at a reasonable price? What years will fit and also since it is like a Ford Ranger, what years should fit from a Ranger? The area that holds the fuel lines/sender in is all rotted away and there appears to be no reasonable way to repair it. Thanks

The Hayne's manual lumps 1993 to 2010 Ranger and B series together. You should have no trouble finding a tank at a junk yard.

Did you have to take the bed off to see the rusted area? I have a leak when I fill the tank all up.

Thanks for the response. I have checked all my discount sources and haven't come up with a new one yet at any price. I will try a local junk yard that has everything, maybe they have a good used one. I do not need the "Fuel Tank Sending Unit" as mine appears to be OK.
Two of us removed the cap, the liner and then the the six 55 torx screws in less than 20 minutes. You also have to remove the 3 phillips screws holding the tank filler pipe in place. We then tilted the front up about 2 feet holding it in place with two, about 3' foot long 4X4's.
The "Fuel Tank Sending Unit" was totally loose and you could see right into the gas tank. The ring/retaining device was completely rotted away and there is no way to connect/lock the sending unit to the tank anymore. I wrapped a bungie cord around the tank to hold the sender temporarily in place!
Since we are going have to remove the tank shortly to replace it I put rust penetrant on the strap screws that were now exposed. We then put it all back together.
I think my Mazda was either close to the ocean or possibly even parked in the ocean as it has an extreme amount of rust behind the cab area under the vehicle. I have owned it about a year and if I had of known about how rusty it was I would have never bought it. I did look, but not hard enough.

Thanks for the info on getting to the tank.

Rust is a bad deal.

These guys say they stopped rust with this oil and using oil based paint:
StrongArm Brand Products Co Conditioning Fluid and Super Penetrant

I don't have experience with it.
