1992 B2200 Smoking
Hello all. I am hoping that someone here can help my with my problem. I have a 1992 Mazda B2200 pickup and it has a smoking problem. When I start the truck up a small trace of white smoke is coming out of the exhaust and I didn't pay much attention to it. It was when the truck began to warm up that I noticed heavy amounts of white and blue smoke was coming out of the exhaust. I'm guessing that the white smoke is from a head leak and the blue smoke is from possibly warn out valve seals, but I want to be sure. The truck has 128,000 miles on it and I love the thing to death so I want to know what I can to make the smoking stop. Please if anyone has had the same problem in the past or if anyone knows what the problem is, please let me know. Thank you.

Mazda smoke
Most probably are pinston rings. I think this because of the milleage. Engines can last more than 200,000 miles but they need good maintenance and frecuent oil changes. Blue smoke is oil burning, white smoke maybe water vapor or automatic transmission fluid burning. Mean while you can add a viscosity enhancer, the oil will be thicker and the smoke less. Vehicles uses to smoke, white, in the morning when a lot of water condesate into the tail pipe, but all this are possibilities and not exactly true.
This is a very long subject, you may need to see a mechanic.

I hear Slick 50 helps that. My pickup smokes pretty good when she's cold and I think it's just a combination of valve guide seals and oil rings. I've tried all the stop smoke oil additives and honestly it's not worth the money. It does help a bit but robs too much power for it to be worth anything.
