Does anybody know if the water thermovalve is needed for a Weber conversion or can i just plug it. Mine is broken where the vac. hoses attatch andI can't find it anywhere. If it's needed, anybody know where to get one? I went to the salvage yard, the ones I found there were broken too.1990 mazda b2200.Thanks!!

 

I originally had the EGR valve vacuum attached directly to the Weber, then after a few months routed vacuum to the thermovalve first, then to EGR, didn't notice any difference. Of course, with the Weber you can block off the EGR or just plug its vacuum line, as long as the spring keeps it closed.

 

I finaly clued into my problem with my engine and weber conversion. I did not plug the vac lines. So here is what I have plugged. EVERYTHING But the vaccum advance for the timing. and i pluged that into the port that was provided with the carb. thats it, everything else it taken out and plugged off. today my manifold plug to where the crank case breather into the manifold goes blew off becuase of back pressure. learned I have to use some silicone. thanks to the guy at lordco for when i bought the kit, told me that and now i know thats what i have to do.
