Default Spark plug question?

My car used to shake sometimes when switching gears...so i decided to change the spark plugs and than everything was running good. During the process i found some oil at the bottom of the old spark plugs which is definitely not good. Sicne putting the new ones someone recommended getting a gasket valve cover kit with tube seals that would get rid of the oil presence. Anything ever heard of this? My guess its just a matter of time before the new spark plugs get drenched with the oil and won't work very well.

Default RE: Spark plug question?

You should not have any tube seals marko1768. You do not have to access the spark plugs thru the valve cover do you?? Your spark plugs should be just below the valve cover and above the exhaust manifold. If oil is getting into the plug hole area then would have to be coming from justa leaking valve cover gasket and there should be oil all over the side of the engine and dripping onto the exhaust manifold. Gasket is super easy to replace. Only six 10mm bolts to take out, put in a new gasket and tighten bolts back down.
