Rough running?

OK, i put on a new distributor and my car worked great again. The timing was fine, i promise you. Then on the way home today it startshaving a hard time running. When i would step on the gas it would choke itself, but if i just slowly gave it gas it was fine. When i got home i checked the distributor to see if it slipper and it was still lined up on my marks that i made when i replaced it. So i dont think that the timing is off. is it a vacuum problem? yet again, i need help....

RE: Rough running?

Might try and check fliexible black rubber air intake boot for tears. Does it do the same thing in reverse or only going forward? Have seen these boots develop a tear that open up wide when accelerating quickly which throws the intake air reading from the MAF way off.
Also is a 4 cyle, V6, Auto trans??

RE: Rough running?

It had no tears in it. I figured it might be the distributor because it was way too much of a coincidence that this happened after i replaced it the first time. So i took advantage of the warranty and got it replaced. It was a refurbished disty from the factory so i think the ICm just burnt out on it too. So problems fixed, thank you for your help!
