MX3 V6 cooling liquid bubbling in overflow tank when hot
Hi
I have a Mazda MX3 V6 how has a strange issue
When the car is hot i can hear the cooling liquid bubbeling in the overflow tank, and the tank is almost full.
(when the car is cold the liquid is at the max in the tank)
sometimes the liquid flows over in the tank...
I have made a small video who show the issue https://www.dropbox.com/s/xukso7z4rd...iquid.mp4?dl=0
What can cause that?
Update... now when the car has become cold, the reservoir where almost empty. And the hose at the top of the radiator,at the filler cap is empty for coolant?
I have now put some more coolant in the system, and noticed small bubbels at the filler cap.. Also the lower hose at the radiator is cold and it seems empty for water, and the upper hose i warm and full of coolant
Can it be caused by a defective termostat? so that the coolant is unable to enter the motor/radiator?

Thermostat test
I might have figured out what the problem where...
I pulled out the thermostat and tested it in some 85 degree Celsius hot water and it only opens 2 mm, according to the manual it must be 10 mm... also only
2 mm open when the water where boiling at 100 degree Celcius
So i have ordered a new one.. lets hope that not the head gasket has blown.. but the temp gauge where not in the hot zone.. just in the middle

Helo Perjmolsen, Did you ever cure your problem? Off-hand, I suspect it was a blown head gasket. The engine only needs to overheat once to make it happen. Thereafter, you'd get engine exhaust blowing into your cooling system (or vice-versa). A tell-tale sign is when you have no sign of coolant leakage but still need to top-off the coolant reservoir.
