Intermittent check engine light

I have a 95 MX-6 with 4 cylinder engine. The check engine lightcomes on intermittently and engine misfires when light comes on. Car has new wires, plugs, distributor cap, fuel filter, 02 sensor. I just cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body. Anybody have thoughts as to what might be causing this? Check engine light won't stay on and I'm told (if accurate) fault code won't store in memory to tell what the problem is. Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated.

most codes on the car is stored in memory, u should be able to pull it. if not, check the cps by crank pulley.

RE: Intermittent check engine light

I had a similar poblem with my mx6's engine check light. At the end of almost doing everything, I found a crack in the rubber air intake hose. Siliconed it and it's gotten much better. CHECK th INTAKE.
