High beams don't work!!

I have a 94 mazda mx3 and my low beams work fine but if i just flip on my high beams my lights go out completely. if i hold in the high beam switch they stay on. wtf is up with this??

Sounds like a bad headlight switch or corroded contacts inside the switch. The regular high beams and flash to pass share the same wire coming out of the switch but have different contacts inside.
