Mazda MX-3 and Mazda MX-6 These two sporty models have become popular cars for import tuners due to the availability of parts, the low price, and the smooth lines.

Default Bolt size

I have a 1991 Mazda Mx-6 I just started building. The motor was not in the the car, so I bought a motor for my body, but it didn't have a clutch and tranny on it. I have everything I need to finish the install, BUT I can't find out what size bolts secures the clutch to the flywheel. Can anyone help?

Thanks

I believe they are 8mm but a fine thread. They are not off the shelf bolts. They need to be hardened steel. I would order them from mazda or get some from a junkyard.

I bought another motor to get some other parts off and the motor still had the tranny on it. The clutch bolt had a 14mm head. When I remember to take the bolt to the store, I will get it sized so that I can let anyone else know that needs to know.
