Engine burning oil - valve seal

Hi

I have a Mx3 V6 1.8 from 1994

When i start the car, a blue smoke from the exhaust.
There is also blue smoke when i use the engine breake down hill and give it some gas.

No smoke when normal driving.

So I think that it is the valve seals who need to be repaced.

Do i need to replce all 24 seals? I guess that there is 12 exhaust seals and 12 indtake seals?

If I google the seals it seems that exhaust seals and indtake seals is not the same, or are they just colored different?

I have viewed a couple of videos on how to change valve seals without removing the block (rope metod), and it seems straight forward.

Im already planning to change the two valve cover gaskets, so why not change the valve seals when its open

It could also be oil passing by the piston rings.
Take it to a shop and get a proper compression test done. Tell them you are burning oil and want to know if it's the valve seals or the rings.

Hi

I have had the car to a shop, they have made a compression test, all cylinders is fine, they also said that it is the valve stem who is the problem.

Now I just need to find a set for my V6.. I have searched ebay the only set I am able to find is in usa.. it need to be in EU because I live in Denmark.. taxes and so on..
