Car Seats
 
I have a Mazda MX-3 and i am wanting to change my seats with some new nice looking ones but i am not sure on what i can buy, does it have to be pacifically mazda mx-3 seats or can it be any as long as the measurements are the same?

most if not all racing seats are use universal brackets, your gonna have to drill holes in either the brackets they come with or your stock ones so they fit right

I understand your concern. I did this to my old (and I mean OLD) Civic. I installed some very nice Accord seats from the junk yard. In '85, Honda had some Recaro copies that they used in the Accy coupe, one year only. I found some and installed them. They were GREAT!!! Comfortable and supportive. They had high side bolsters so they held you in on those hard turns.
BUT!! The tracks were not quite the same. The front attachment point was further up than the original so I opted to modify the car rather than the tracks. I had to reinforce the floors where the new holes were made. Please do the same. DO NOT expect the std floor sheet metal to support the seat bracket in an accident. Be sure to add support to it w/additional metal.
