RE: 95 mx-6 tranny problem?

pull the air box out of the engine bay and look where the shifter cable connects to the tranny. the plastic circle clip tends to break off. it happened to my sisters 96 probe i4 auto, and i just put it back into place and put a couple zip ties to hold it there or you can buy a new shift cable.

RE: 95 mx-6 tranny problem?

i already looked at that. everything seems to be shifting fine. it does make a slight waning noise in higher rpms. but normally whenever you put the shifter into driveit would atleastfeel like its trying to engage. this seems like it doesnt even try. is this torque converter? i have little experience with automatic trannies.if anyone else has some input that would be appreciated
