90 MX6 Turbo with code 01

Can anyone tell me what to check with the code 01 on this vehicle. It has no spark. I have already put a used distributor on it a new coil and ignitor and a knock sensor. I got rid of all the codes except this pesky 01. It says that it is "no ignition pulse" I am assuming that it is a bad cam sensor that is of course in the distributor. Is there a way to check this out. all the books say it has to go to a dealer. If anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated. It is going to start raining its butt off here in a couple days. I really need to get this fixed fast. Thanks in advance.

Check continuity of the yellow/black wire from the ignitor to the ECU, the blue/red wire from the ignitor to the ECU, and the red/yellow wire from the knock controller to the ECU. It is not uncommon for the electrical portion of the ignition switch to fail only in start position so check power to the coil while trying to start or jump it from a known good voltage source and try to start it. I'm sure you have checked that the rotor is actually turning and the timing belt has not jumped and the cam pin and crank keyways are not damaged throwing it out of time. If all checks good then it points at the ECU.
