1995 mx6 waterpump

First of all i would like to say helllo to everyone here in this forum as I am new here! I recently "inherited" a 1995 mx6 with a four cylinder engine(2.0 liter I believe) and I think it has a bad water pump. I did not get a chance to really look at it but my father said that it looks like it is going to be hard to get at the water pump. Having never worked on this type of engine I was wondering if anyone in this forum could shed any insight on what type of job I am looking at? Is it a really tight fit to get the old water pump off? any insight would be greatly appreciated..

I just got a 94 MX6 and bought a chiltons repair manuel from Murry auto and it is the best thing for working on these cars. I was a chevy guy but just got the MX6 from a guy at work for $1500 ans it has 82K. and this gook showes everthing you will ever need to fix anything on the car and they are only $12.00

Replacing your Mazda water pump with 4 cylinder engine is a difficult and time consuming job; the front of the motor needs to be removed. Set time aside for this job, but like we say, "Its only nuts and bolts" if you have some knwledged about it... Good luck!!!
