1995 MX6, 109,000 miles, $2800, good deal??? -->
Hello. I am looking at buying a 1995 MX6 4cyl with 109,000 miles on it. The asking price is $2800. It has a spoiler, sunroof, cloth seats, power doors and locks etc. Am I getting a good deal? I am going to go test drive it on Monday and see if there are any problems with it. My fiancee test drove it today for me, since i was unable to make it and she told me that when she first started it up she head a squeal coming from the motor. The salesman said it was the belts and that he would have them replaced. Also I would be getting a 90 day warranty. This is my first trial into Mazdas, as I am usually a Dodge or Pontiac man. My fiancee said she drove it for about 15 mins. The only problem was the squealing which went away after a couple seconds from startup. She didn't have it passed 30 mph, reason being she was in the middle of the city. When I test it, im going to take it on the highway past 65 mph for a couple mins to see how it holds up in this hot weather.
Is there any notorious problems or defects with these cars that I should know about? i.e. Overheating, Motor goes after certain mileages, Water Pump goes after certain mileage etc.... It would be a great help. Thanks, Alex |

the only problem with the car ur talkin about is that fact that its a 4 cyl opt for the 6 more fun and better all round feel plus the 6 is the smoothest and fairly robust

I just bought a 1994 mazda mx6 ls with a v6 82K with moon roof, leather seats not rust or body damage for $1500. so you should be able to talk them down on the price.
