1993 Mazda Mx3 1.6L 16v

So the day has finally come. I have in my hands a bad ass mx3. Its a faded black and has no spoiler. Also the motor is Japapnese! Im excited for this you guys!!

I got this car about a week ago for 200$ can you believe it?
i got it from my friend Alan who had given up on the beauty. Trashed inside and out. None the less i took a chance on it and here i am.

My back lights don't work. :/ then on top of that my turn signals don't work. :/ then on top of that the car runs too accelerated after a recent timing belt change he had a mechanic do on it, the sliding seat belt on the passenger is malfunctioning making the battery drain. I just bought the CHILTON manuel for a rebuild i plan to do on the block and head. I plan to do some re-wiring and i figured i might as well just a fall in love with the car.

My question is, for you guys that know, can i put an Rx-7 wing on this beast or no?

You mentioned the possibility of rebuilding the engine. It would cost a LOT of money to do it right! Before going down that path, I'd do a compression test or leak-down test on the engine. If it passes, it may be fundamentally OK, in which case, a rebuild would be unnecessary.

As for the spoiler, I'd hold off on that. Check around and see how much it will cost to fix your turn signals and motor-driven seat belt. Then decide if you want to put money into stuff to dress up your new acquisition. I had a Mazda MX-3 just like yours. 'Bought it new in 1994 and sold it in 2009. It gave me great service and it was a cool car, too!
